email marketing

There are three times more email user accounts than there are Facebook and Twitter accounts combined.

This indicates that your targeted audience is largely behind their email account waiting to be engaged on what they are looking for.

Below is a Get Response info graph that gives you results from 2013.

If you are struggling to understand when the best time is to send an email, these results will give you a guideline.

In a nutshell:

  • The 4th quarter of the year receives the highest open rates.
  • Tuesdays receive the highest open rates and Fridays receive the highest click through rates.
  • Emails have a life span of up to 24 hours.
  • Initial messages in an email auto responder follow up series perform the best

The power of email marketing is strong, and if you can take these stats and test with your own campaigns, you will find what will work for you.

The number one reason people say that they unsubscribe from email lists is due to relevancy.

Always be sending high quality value to your subscribers on the topic that they have requested more information on.

If you send information and offers for unrelated topics, your subscribers will not only unsubscribe, may even complain, report as spam and your deliverability rates will drop.

    1. Alesha Drew I totally agree as I am a freelance graphic artist myself and have yet to learn how to make these “Infographics” myself. 😉 Always learning something new in order to keep up with the trends.

    2. Ace Rich That’s awesome! I studied art and graphics at school and am a professional dancer so I always lean towards the creative side of things, especially learning. I would love to see your info graphs when you’ve created them sometime in the future! 🙂
